Well, after the trepidation and excitement of the lockdown being eased more and more, many of us in Leicester and the surrounding areas once again find ourselves back in a stricter lockdown than the rest of the country.
July 4th may be very well known as independence day, but it seems we will just have to wait a little longer than some. I understand the frustrations that may come with this and as always we offer our support should anybody need it right now. Feel free to use our ‘Touch Base’ service by getting in touch and one of our team will give you a call back and have a friendly chat. Or, if you feel you may benefit from some counselling please let us know and we can arrange a claim for you.
Group CORE Insurance
Our new CORE Scheme is gaining interest daily which we are pleased about as it is a fantastic Scheme. This is ideal cover for our members families especially those with children going off to university and you want to ensure they have some cover.
This Scheme is available to Police Officers and Police Staff, not eligible for the main Group Insurance Scheme due to being refused on health grounds previously, members’ adult children and partners of existing members if they do not work for the police. The age criteria is 18-49 inclusive. CORE members can apply to join this Scheme in their own right and pay their own subscriptions with access to their own online portal.
For just £15 per month it offers Family Travel Insurance, Family access to GP24 (our 24/7 GP access service), Legal Expenses, member and partner Mobile Phone Cover and finally member and partner Motor Breakdown cover.
And the bonus is, the first 3 months are COMPLETELY FREE!!! Get in touch today.
As we continue to progress Medical Scheme claims at this difficult time, we ask that all members who currently have a claim continue to follow the usual claims process. All referrals must be sent to the Medical Scheme for approval and await confirmation from the Medical Scheme staff prior to contacting the Spire Hospital. Once approval has been sought, all members should liaise with our designated account manager at the Spire Hospital, not the Outpatients Booking Coordinators. The designated contact is there to arrange all necessary appointments. Sadly many of our members are not following the process and trying to bypass it on a regular basis causing extra work and delay at this very challenging time along with additional costs for the administration departments at the Hospital and ourselves. This action is also causing delays to the majority of members trying to secure a booking in the designated manner.
To stem this we have from today decided that those found causing this additional work will be invoiced to cover the additional costs.
Please be assured that the our designated Account Manager at the Spire Hospital is working hard to secure appointments and allocate referrals to consultants solely for LPFT members. All appointment queries should be raised via this channel and not directed to the bookings team to avoid any unauthorised appointments or duplication of work.
The Scheme is still running as normal. If you are not a member of the Scheme already it may be worth your while having a look on our website. It also offers many other great benefits so head over to https://lpf-trusts.co.uk/group-insurance/ cover can be provided for your family from as little as £26.50 per month and the first 3 months are completely FREE!
As you are now aware, our Holiday Lodge is reopening the first week in August.
